Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
This is your girlfriend after a fight.
Day 6: Favorite Song
Not surprisingly, my favorite song comes from my favorite musician. I can’t really get over how heartfelt and pure this performance is, and especially how true her studio recording turned out to be to her live performance.
Like A Star - Corinne Bailey Rae

Laura: How fast do you think it’s going?
Mike: I don’t know. *shrugs*
Laura: Do you think I could kill it?!

I’m not ashamed to say that this post has had me the most frustrated. I’m a little bit of a foodie, so I can’t really choose, so I’ve decided to just post something I’ve had a strong craving for. There’s this one Thai restaurant near where I live that has awesome pad thai. I’ve been craving it practically for weeks D:

It’s one of those foods that I’d seriously consider as a suitable last meal.
I’ve never been much of a reader, but when I read, I can’t seem to do much else. At first, when I was thinking about my favorite books, I immediately thought of Harry Potter. I mean, I understand that there really is very little literary complexity to be had in Rowling’s books, but goddamnit! she can tell a good story. I mean, growing up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione is something that only a handful of generations can really understand, and that sort of unity through literature trumps all of the figurative language and “mastery of language” the world has to offer, in my opinion.

I’d so be a Ravenclaw.
I sort of have a fluctuating music taste. I’ve slowly shifted from alternative and classic rock to more hip-hop, pop, and R&B. It’s been an unconscious decision, but it’s a little frightening. D:
Right now, my favorite artist is Corinne Bailey Rae.

There’s just something so haunting about her voice, and the quality of her studio recordings is comparable to her live performances which I’m sad to say is rare nowadays. The unaltered human voice is a beautiful thing.
